As pupils are unable to take books from school, there are a number of websites where they can access ebooks. Continuing to read is important from an educational point of view but especially at this difficult time, reading for enjoyment can be an excellent use of time whether that is reading independently or reading and sharing stories with others.

World Book Online

Amazon has provided hundreds of children’s books free to listen to now on Audible for Kids. No accounts or passwords are needed. Just click, stream and listen!   Titles are curated by age group with collections for primary school children to teenagers and offer a screen-free alternative that may be a helpful way to break up the day for families with children home from school.
